I set up my blog last Friday, November 13th, and I tried to make an entry that night but I could not find the screen that permitted me to add my new thoughts. I finally found the screen today. I hope I can find it again tomorrow. This blog stuff has me somewhat confused. I am not even sure that this entry today will be added to my entry on Friday the 13th.
I had BSF this morning. I am feeling terrible but I pushed myself to be there for my ladies. I already missed two weeks in October when Mike and I drove to South Carolina for Glenn's Change of Command. I will also be missing the last week of BSF in May as we are again going to South Carolina for Olivia's First Communion. Therefore, I am going to try not to miss any other weeks. I have a much better group of ladies this year; so far their attendance has been good. This is going to be my last year in leadership. I have led for 7 years; it's time to give some other ladies a chance. I have recommended 3 ladies for leadership so far this year but all have declined. We are really having a difficult time getting new leaders and it seems that we are also having trouble attracting new ladies. Already I have seen ladies start and then leave within a few weeks. I think this poor economy has ladies back to work and also there seems to be a fair amount of depression with the poor conditions of late.
I have been negelecting my house cleaning duties but I am really going to puch myself tomorrow to clean our bedroom, make some stew and iron lots of cloths. I am so behind in most things around the house.
We need to buy a Christmas tree this year. We took our big tree down to our daughter oast year. It was really to big for our living room. We are going to buy a skinny tree. We have been gone to South Carolina for the past two Christimas Day because Glenn was deployed to Iraq; however, we are going to be home on Christmas Day this year. We will leave for South Carolina on December 26th. My Michigan daughter and her family will come over to our house for dinner and gift opening.
I am not cooking this Thanksgiving. My Michigan daughter (Melissa) and her family will be up north at their cottage. Mike and I have been invited to Grace's house for dinner. We were there last year and had a really nice time with her wonderful family. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving; it is my favorite holiday, especially since I am not doing the cooking this year.
I am going to shut-up for now. I am crossing my fingers that this nonsense that I have just written joins the enty that I made last week and that I can find this screen again tomorrow.
